Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels at the time.

This occurrence isn't the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a senior official has suffered mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane ferrying Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
